changed plugs and points got spark and gas floods out plugs when cranking over wont start tries but never does please help

Did you reset the timing when you changed the points?You can't just replace the points they need to be set then timed.J

What year model is your engine? What is the point gap spec for your engine? My 1968-70 35HP Chrysler is set at .020 point gap. I assume this is at TDC or I know it from specs. It runs good at the setting. If needed, I'll check to see if my points are set at TDC and possibly what yours should be set at. I'm almost sure my point's widest gap is at TDC. I'm almost sure setting the proper point gap is setting your timing properly. Is that correct?
