hello everybody
i've got myself an old chrysler 45 hp not sure what year or modle it is (model number 457h9k serial number 1575)
i got it off a guy who said it was fault less and ready to put straight on my shetland,
i got it home with no hope of it starting
then found that the plug leads were on wrong, put that right and it fired up for about 15seconds then died?
then just my luck the ignition barrel broke, so just connecting the ignition (blue) to the live (red) and starting it straight from the starter i got it to turn but all it does is just pops and stops,
i can't think what else i can do, is there more in the ignition barrel that needs a live or is what i'm doing enough? i have 5 wires, red live, blue ignition yellow starter, green choke, white tach? i would rather not dump it as its perfect for what i need,
any ideas would be very welcome
thanks dan
