Chrysler 45 ignition help

I just bought a 45hp Chrysler from a friend. Apparently it was used a few times a year on a small pontoon. The motor was taken off the pontoon and stored with the remote control and cables, but nothing else. So now I have a motor and a remote control with cables but no wiring except the large guage cable that goes to the battery I assume since one side goes to the motor ground and the other to the starter. I have owned Evinrudes in the past with a plug in cable on the side and an ignition box, but this is nothing like the Chrysler. I assume the remote control has a spot for a combo start/choke keyswitch, but not sure since the hole it looks like it should go in has a black plug instead. I assume there was a seperate ignition harness to the console that is now lost. I am hoping someone could coach me on how to proceed. I guess a generic replacement choke/ignition switch and a cable with the correct guage and number of wires could be used from Lowes. The model number is 457H1M and the serial number is 1415. I know nothing else. Please help!
Thanks
