kia ora
i have a 7.5 hp chrysler mod. 72h9b, ser.a219
can anyone advise what yr this is?
also, when idling very little water is ejected from the outlet
with the bottom leg removed, and a garden hose forcing water into the motor, there appears to be water coming thru the exhaust region
is this normal, or is there some seal that has gone kaput, causing the motor to receive insufficient water?
if so, is it a straightforward job removing the powerhead?
anything to look out for?
the impeller has seen better days, where would it be possible to buy a new one?
any other engine impellers that fit?
i have an engineering background, so mechanical inards don't daunt me
thanks in advance
te aroha
shalom
bill

YOur motor is from 1979. You can find the impellor here impeller as to the amount of water coming out the back it sounds like yours is normal for a chrysler. They do not shoot much out the back
