Just before summer ended I got a small Bayliner bass boat that was modified with a Chrysler 75HP, model #757HA. Took the cover off to check her out and get ready to winterize and I notice one of the plug wires is noticeably cracked. The wires go from the plugs and into the cap, not sure how they seal inside it yet---I'll figure that out later, I need to know what the part number is for these wires. I know the motor is old, and I have looked all around, but can't find the OEM or replacement number anywhere.

Go to your local auto store and see if they have solid core stranded plug wire. It does not need to be OEM unless you are restoring the engine for classic competition.

The dist. cap is two pieces and held together by two screws on either side of the coil wire. Inside there is a rubber membrane which is tight around all the wires. That is , there are holes in the membrane through which the wires pass. The wires stick a bit through the membrane and impale on brass pins inside the other half of the dist. cap. When the two halves are screwed together, the rubber is compressed, mechanically holding the wires and also making a water/vapor tight seal
