Hi,

This is great site. I learned alot about the O/B problems by reading all those messages.
I noticed that my carburetor spited out gas at the choke shutter. It spited out gas
when I turned the engine.
I cleaned my carb, and I saw sand in the bowls. How can I determine if
I had a stuck needle or damaged reefs? My engine is kind of rough idle, but
running at WOT is O.K.

Thanks in advanced.

If your Reed valves are damaged the only way is to remove the carbs and manifolds to inspect them...too much work. Clean the carbs and clean your fuel tanks out. That sand is coming in via the fuel lines. If you have gunk stuck in the low speed side of the carbs you will have a bad idle. This is also true with worn ignition and plugs too. The carb cleaning/tank cleaning is the cheapest fix first.

Bob ;)
