Hi all,and greetings from Scotland. I have a 1979 85hp chrysler outboard ,it has not been run for a couple of years ,I have been checking it out and all is well apart from over flowing fuel. I have the engine on a stand and when I pump up the fuel to the carbs it is coming out the exhaust outlet under cavitation plate. I suspect that I have a sticking float needle but is it normal that the excess fuel should find its way out the exhaust and not just spill out carb mouth. Would the seal that the reed valves make allow the fuel pass ? thanks for any help. Jim B ...---... help
