Re: Chrysler Carb rebuild.H
They are very easy to rebuild, but most of the time they just need new gaskets a clean and blow out. I have had 2 x 75hp a 6hp a 12.9hp and a 100hp, all the carbies were easy to clean and rebuild. I would just buy a gasket kit and do the gaskets first, if the needle is damaged replace it, but generally they just need a clean and new gaskets. Make sure when you clean them to blow compressed air through them, also make sure your jets aren't clogged and you have a clean fuel delivery. Put a filter in between the fuel pump and carbies as well.
But most importantly first thing to do is get a manual. I have 3 one specifically for my 100hp and 2 others which are generic 3&4 cylinder manuals. Just make sure you take things slowly not forcing anything and over-tightening.
