Hi, im new here and fairly new to boats. My uncle restores boats(mainly wood) as a hobby and i often help him. Im planning on going to tech school in the next year or so to pursue a career in marine repair.

Lately, we've been trying to get his '78 Chrysler Striper running. The engine has never been winterized, and has been sitting in his shed/garage for several years. What do i need to do because of this? Are there any parts that we should go ahead and replace? Are there any common problems with these engines? Any input would be great. Thanks

Re: Chrysler Striper

Hi, Devino.

Welcome to iboats. :)

You need to ask about your boat in the boat forum.

What you need to do here is tell us what outboard you have. . . .make, HP, model number, etc.

Then maybe we can give you some useful advice.
