I'm changing a 1970 55hp Chrysler without alternator(magneto ignition) to a 72 Chrysler with alternator(magnapower). The original harness has the purple wire for the alternator included. But , what needs to be hooked up at the boat end .My Chiltons manual shows that it doesn't go to the ignition switch but , to where I don't know.
