need a pic of a single lever control for old chrysler 55 hp on the inside how the cables should be routed and position of the control dogs. also does it matter which cable goes where. when i purchaed all the cables were detached.

Please post pics showing your needs. I will reply with pics if my 1970 35 HP Chrysler control is similar. I have pics of the 35?s connections at the motor, control box (ext/int) and shift rod positions to LU in F,N,R. OR! I?ll let you know our control are not compatible. jow

As per our PM, I felt it would serve the forums better to post it here.

The middle cable going to the forward most cable control is the throttle.
The lower cable going to the first cable control is the shift lever.

Also asked were the cables. Yes they are the same cables. Yours might be different. Only difference in my cables is the connecter on the engine side, where the connection piece is screwed on. The throttle cable has a longer connection piece with more spring in it.

Hope this helps.

BTW, 1970 Chrysler 55hp. But the controls should all be the same from the 35, 45 & 55.
