The drainage tube on our 1985 Cierra 2450 freshwater tank has developed a leak The tube has a valve to allow on/off for draining the tank. I have replaced the valve, but water still leaks from the tube connection to the tank which is basically somewhere behind or under the tank. Is there any way to repair this issue without removing all of the plumbing and pulling the tank? Not sure if there is room enough to get the tank out past the engine. Any and all tips would help. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

It might not be as bad as you think to fix but without seeing a picture of the area it could be hard to determine the cause. Could you try to take a picture of the location in the boat and the area where you suspect the leak is. Thanks.

Just remember with boats they are designed to be easy to assemble in the factory, fixing them after the fact is another story....

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I am not sure I can get a good shot of the leak since it seems to be somewhere under the tank. Will give it a try. I suspect you are correct in saying that the factory assembly didn't allow for easy repair. Stay tuned and thanks again.

Well, how about raising the tank enough to access the fitting? Still cramped hard to get at,but it beat's pulling a motor.

Good thought Grub. Will give it a shot this weekend and see how far I can get. Thanks again!
