When I hooked up my battery cables on the right terminals after accidentally crossing them yesterday the circuit breaker that follows the starter relay keeps popping. So there is no juice getting through to the dash....is my starter relay fried or my rectifier? I checked for burned lines and none and also for an inline fuse and none....whats the issue here?

None of the above., you fried something downstream of the breaker by putting reverse voltage to it. Something is wired to that line without another fuse. Maybe a bilge pump.

I agree with chuckz, it's something that is probably hard wired to ground and has fried it [as he said bilge pump ,stereo with memory, clock, something like that]. keep us posted on what you find
