The idea's been floating around in my head for a while. Quite easy to build and the boards run straight and true about 50ft out from the boat.

chunky

BCO, unless I am hideously mistaken, he has built a single mast that will allow him to run planing boards off to each side, for fishing purposes...

One of two ways. A: The boards I have, have an eye hook directly on the back. You can hook the release there or B: run the board out first and hook the release on the board line and let it slide down to the board. So far proven deadly for pike running the island contours.

chunk

Thats a pretty slick rig. I may have to borrow that concept when I set my rig up for big fishin' next season. Slowly but surely I have been gearing up. I have a trollin' motor, rods and all that, I just need to whip up some planin' boards.

The whole rig is removeable in about 5 minutes except for the base plate which is mounted to the deck. Let me know if you need help with the boards.

chunky
