I'm hoping one of you guys will know the answers I'm seeking. I have a 1979 Mercury 115 hp OB. I know the serial number - 5414695 - but not the model number of the motor. Everywhere I've searched for parts asks for the model number. Can anyone help with this?
Next issue is the parts names and/or substitute part names/numbers for these rusted items:
I thought they were bolts, but I see them described as (obsolete) Tilt Tube and a Shaft Trim Cylinder. Neither available any longer... what would have replaced those parts?
