Hi again,
Ive sorted all my problems so far from this forum so im hoping to sort this one too(maybe this will the last to sort, and il finally have a decent outboard!). My outboard starts and runs in neutral fine it will rev up on the warm up perfect, it will idle all day in a barrel. As soon as i put it in gear and give it throttle it will die. Itl go into gear at idle for a few seconds but as soon as i rev it it dies! The carbs are recently cleaned and there is a spark at all four cylinders. its getting fuel ok as the bulb stays hard. Any ideas? The only thing ive noticed is a very small drip from the bottom carb, could this be it??

Cheers

ok,
just an update on things ive tested tonight. compression test showed 40psi on all cylinders which i guess is wrong or it wouldnt run(would it?) must be a dodgy tester. there is exhaust gas coming from behind the fuel pump, what would this do?

Cheers
