Hey all, Just bought my first boat a 12' 1960 Montgomery Ward Seaking with a 10 hp Evinrude Sportwin. Ive got her all stripped down into pieces to work on over the winter. My question is...I have cleaned her with MaryKate Aluminex hull cleaner. Which is a mix of Hydrochloric and phosphoric acids. I didnt realize how dirty the boat was till I started in with this stuff, but it has left the aluminum kind of "whiteish" so I tried to shine it up with brasso noxon and mothers aluminum polish, none of which worked! Can anyone give me some pointers? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dd_mopowar/my_photos if ya want a peak!

Re: cleaning aluminum

I would suggest going to a RV dealer, especially one that sells Airstream & see what the recommend.
