Have an E150stcem 1989 Evinrude on a Stratos. In pursuit of the answer to a problem with stalling and slow planning I was directed to clean the carbs. In pulling the carbs I found on the middle one that the nozzle for the hose from the priming solenoid had been stuck on with some JB Weld. The nozzle came off when I pulled on the hose. The brass threaded insert came out leaving a smooth aluminum hole. Amy ideas on how I could fix this?

More JB weld/ high strength epoxy.
You could tap in a new thread but then you will need to change the nozzle thread etc etc
Its not really under any pressure to move so long as the hose is lined up right and it isnt pulled on!

I have been useing "Seal All" for years on little brass pieces that pop out of carb housings. Just a little around the outside diameter of the brass and firmly press into original hole. Let it cure for a couple hours and you're done.

Take a very small file and use the edge of it to rough up the outside of the nipple. Then put some HT Green Loc-Tite on the surface, tap it in and let it sit for a few hours.
