I had a hose clamp break on my overboard water indicator which has sprayed salt water on the inside of my engine.

Any advise on products to use to clean the engine. It is all just surface stuff but there are salt deposits on metal and plastic.

Thanks.

Spray the motor down with simple green and wipe away as much as you can.
Rinse with fresh water taking care to avoid electronics.
Apply water displacing product like wd-40 after motor dries.

You first need to run that engine for at least 1/2 hour to make sure that any of the salt water did not get sucked into the engine and if any did that the machine surfaces are well coated with oil. I lost a V4 due to salt water injestion so been ther and - - - - -
