I like to try to clean the boat everytime i take it out.. The problem is the rails on the trailor get in the way.. Well, I thought about it for awhile and it dawns on me to use my 10ton floor jack and a piece of wood. So I'm doing the bottom of the boat, thinking I'm pretty cool and smart.. A few minutes later the phone rings... This what I learned... I found out that if you try to cut inbetween the rail and the boat while trying to answer the phone, you may get stuck.. I had one hek of a wedgeeeee going on. The worst part is : I found that I can multi-task.. I can answer the phone and carry on a conversation( you can guess what that was about), plus use my free hand to pump the handle on the jack.. By the way the jack had a teeny weenie leak, that is why I got stuck.. From here on out I use my jack supports...

Well of course you can talk on the phone and do something else, you are female. :) j/k, I am glad you were able to get out without injury to anything but your ego.

Your stories are great by the way, keep them coming.

Re: Cleaning the boat- things not to do.

Years ago I had a 1960 Crestliner runabout. I put it in my father's garage so I could clean it up for a paint job. Well the phone rings and I jump out of the boat, and my jeans get caught on one of those fender hangers (Heavy chrome hook bolted to the gunwale). So I am hanging on the side of the boat, feet just off the ground, can't reach anything to pull myself up with, terrible wedgie getting worse, and of course no one else is home and the garage door is closed. I hung there for quite a while before those pants tore enough for me to reach something and climb out of that situation.
