Anyone have tips on how to clean canvas boat covers? I have snap on bow and cockpit covers that have quite a bit of mildew, dirt, etc. Does anyone know of a good way to clean these or do I need to have them re-dyed? Is it worth it to re-dye canvas?

What is the material. Vinyl or Sumbrella?

I boats sells cleaners for Both. If it's vinyl you can mix one part bleach to three parts water. Clean them outside on a picnic table or lay them out on concrete to scrub. Don't try bleach on Sumbrella though only on vinyl. Even your local Marina will sell good cleaners. Maybe Wal-Marts too in the sporting Goods Dept. Ours carries many boating Products and goodies, even bilge pumps.
