clear coat for motor cowl?

I just re-painted the top half of my motor cowl with manufacturer brand/color spray paint but it definately needs a clear coat. What is the best spray paint clear coat (brand/type) to use? I've tried clear coats before on random projects, but none of them really ever look like there is a clear coating or even a gloss... i know rattle can clear sucks, but whats a good brand and is there a trick to make it pop?

There are 2 part cans of clear that will do you fine ..

The trick is a slight sand and buff out ( 1500 or more .. and polish ).

There is more then one way to skin a tiger mate ..
