I feel stupid for asking this question, but do I need to put a clear coat or gel coat on my boat? Basically I got a project boat a few months ago and it needed a paint job. I just finished painting it with the interlux one part brightside polyurethane and I thought I was done. Then my neighbor stopped by and asked when I was putting a clear coat on it. Is it necessary for me to put some sort of clear coat/sealant over the newly painted hull?
