What would be the advantage to using a cleaver prop I'm running a 75hp Merc and a 3 blade tech four stainless on a 16ft Ranger bassboat and get 38mph top end would I benefit or not?

Re: cleaver props

Most likely not, unless you are running extreme engine heigths.
Dhadley may have some to add....

Re: cleaver props

Clevers are surfacing, transom lifting props. If its not surfacing you may get some real wierd handling. Most bass boats need bow lift, not stern lift. If it lifts the stern and shoves the nose down you may not like the handling on that either.

The boat needs a lot of natural bow lift from either design or flat out speed to take full advantage of a true cleaver.
