Click in steering?

I just bought a 1995 Lund Tyee. When I run in a good chop and turn the wheel to the right I hear and feel a click every few inches I turn. The problem goes away at idle and when I run in smooth water. Any advice about how to address this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff
