i just replaced my water pump impeller with a new one, at idle or low rpms it pumps water just fine, but at full throttle it doesnt pump anything, this is a air cooled motor, water cooled exhaust any suggesations?

It may be pumping fine. Once you're underway, the water may be pulling all of the exhaust out of the snout leaving little to none coming out of the relief holes where it usually mists out.<br /><br />Where did you find an impeller? I need one myself. Mine is rather tall. Yours too?

yes mine was very tall, i got it at discount marine, i believe i sent you a link to it in the past, i was thinking the same thing but the lower leg tube is getting hot to the touch,

I had saved that on my favorites. Thanks. Refer to it many times, but haven't actually gotten anything from them ... yet. Mine has a o-ring in the pump housing where the water pipe enters. Check that. Exhaust gas could be forcing it's way past it and push the water right back out of the pump. Otherwise make sure the pipe is in the pump. You can see it with a flashlight thru the exhaust snout.
