Hello! I just took a look at the manual on the yamaha engine and found out that what is possibly happening to the engine is being caused by a faulty thermo sensor. when I go to full throttle near the end of boating ,the rpm's drop and the engine mis fires. This can be caused by overheated engine. But can also be caused by a bad thermo sensor. The manual says it is a common problem. I hope you get this info before you take the carbs apart.
