Always flush my engines on the hard with ear muffs , no problem
On the engines Volvo has a fitting too connect a garden hose and flush engines
Starboard engine fine, water coming out of lower unit from garden hose fitting
On port engine there is a clog that water will not travel thru .
The problem
no room too work ,, twin engines stuffed into engine room gives no ability too bend and see anything
I can feel fitting, but don't want too do damage and not have the ability too fix .
I tried putting in firm hanger hoping too clear, no luck , seems like hanger traveled too fitting area and no further
I call it a fitting, looks like a T that flushing hose tee's off and comes up .
Has anybody worked on this hose , and what kind of fitting a flap too stop water ,
on starboard engine while running I opened flushing cap for a moment and sea water was coming up ,
On port engine no luck , clogged some were . could be down further by lower unit ,. Never worked on this and due too limited space don't want too do more damage .
There are times I leave boat in water few days , and having ability too flush while in water is better then nothing at all.

thanks

I'd take the exhaust manifolds off and flush them out good.

As you already said, that flush hose with the blue cap is a T connection between the water intake tube from the drive and the water pump where the impeller is located. When you hook up a garden hose to the flush hose, and the engine off, water comes out on the lower unit through the water intake grates. If there is no water flowing out with the hose running, then you have something clogging the hose somewhere.

If that's the case, then your normal water intake should've been affected. Did you notice the engine running hotter than usual?
