I have been having an issue with my Starboard engine running too hot at 3300 RPM and above. Today my mechanic came to the boat and spent a while going over things. He noticed my drives had some helacious barnacles growing on them. He scraped them off and cleaned the inside of the intake. However, I am still hitting the 175 degree mark at 3300 plus RPM. I removed the end cap from the heat riser and cleaned the little ports with a coat hanger. I flushed the riser with water and ran for a while then drained and added fresh coolant.
........ Any ideas?
