To give you the straight answer. I have looked into this also and i have not found much of a way to do it for under 1000.00
I will only do it when i need to replace exhaust manifold.

I did the swap on my 1989 Larrson Senza. It cost me about $500. I bought 2 used Corsa muffler tips off ebay and two cast "S" tubes and made it all work. Been running it for years and love the sound. Not too annoying and loud like the open pipes.

I ran straight out the back of my last boat. Had a 305 and sounded throaty and awesome....about 20 percent of the time! Put the nice tips about halfway in the water line when at rest. Would have loved it if the tips were under the water line and only expossed when on plan but that would have required new risers.

If, and I heavly state if, I do it to this boat it will only be with selectable diverters like captians call or silent choice. The are waaaaay to pricy tho. I once found a set of manually operated diverters on ebay for $350 and should have grabbed em.

When underway with friends and family it is impossible to talk over them and not relaxing at all
