Yesterday my Dad had us over for my Birthday after a nice visit and dinner he
took me and my family over to his shop and said " I want to show you something" he opened his shop door and stood in front of his nice Trophy and said " Happy Birthday, Im giving you my boat!, What, you can't give me your boat I said. "Im done with it said dad, I don't need it any more, its yours.
I was shocked, what a surprise. I about started crying, gave him a big hug and crawled on board. He's getting older and does not use that much and just asks that I take him out once in awhile. So Dads going to show me how to run and operate this thing but I still need more info, right? He said it is a 24' but I think its a 21, not sure of the year, maybe 2000. was to in shock to ask last night. So we live on the main land North of seattle in the skagit Valley adjacent to the San Juan Islands, Boatings finest. I used to go out with Dad when I was young but got into other sports. So do you old masters of the sea have any suggestions for this lucky boater? Boating class, books? Im not going to take my family out until I know what in the heck Im doing.
Thanks, The Kitesurfer
