I was on the water the other day and noticed when you pass through TDC (straight on) position the steering makes a clunking noise. Any ideas, sorry if the description is alittle vague

Thanks

Mark

Do you know if it is a rack and pinion or rotary system?
If it is a rack and pinion, there could be damaged/missing teeth on the rack itself.
If it is a hydraulic system....?

Dave

An hydrolic system can make a noise when it's low on fluid, but it usually happens several times per turn of the wheel. It probably would not be quite as noticeable as a missing tooth in a rack & pinion though.
