I replaced clutch dog and my 35 rude is still kicking out of gear in half or more throttle. My question is has anybody ever taken the forward gear to the machine shop to build up the area where the clutch dog hooks in it? Just a thought ..

It can be done, but it requires some setup and shaving. You bette know someone at machine shop or cost will be too high

Various clutch shifter dogs have grooves on the face of one end. Those grooves must face in whatever direction is stated in the service manual of the specific engine.

If one is unaware of that fact, and installs the dog backwards, regardless of being new, that unit will jump out of gear quite quickly.
