I was changing to my back up prop, because of a curb at the end of the boat ramp
, Anyway Clymer says to install tab washer then prop nut finger tight, then bend over the tabs, then torque the prop nut. That didn't sound right to me, never heard of bending tabs before you tighten the nut, but I thought maybe there is a reason, so I did what the book said. After I broke the bumps off the splined washer I checked online with mercstuff and they say to torque then bend
I,m guessing that Clymers is wrong.
