So my trim device is not working. It is in the down position, but will not go up. I can hear the motor trying to function when pushing the down button and its bottomed out, but nothing on the up button.
Looking at the label on the top of the part and searching online looks to be $380.
So looking for advice...........
Buy the new part or search for used?
Is this a difficult change, require any special tools or knowledge? From 1-10 what is the difficulty level?
Does the motor need to come off?
Just looking for some advice before I discuss with the shop, maybe me and a buddy can do this? Or maybe its something else its kinda a self contained thing so not sure.
