Had my boat out on the water the other day and realised the jackplate would not operate in any direction.Got to the house and removed both wires from their respective relays and touched one to ground and the other to positive.Nothing happened. No electric motor sounds or anything.I performed an ohms test between the two wires and got a reading of 200 ohms.I don't know what the resistance should be but I was just doing it to see if I had a broken wire.Anyway If the motor is stuck can I take the actuator assembly out and replace just the electric motor or do I need to replace the entire actuator assembly?Does anyone know where I can find rebuild parts for this jackplate. Thanks for any help.

I'm certainly no expert on jackplates but 200 ohms is too much resistance for a jackplate motor. There must be a bad connection in it or burnt windings.<br />I would expect 1 to 3 ohms. But I've never worked on one so that's just a guess.

Thanks for the info.I guess I'll need to source another motor for it but I don't know where to find one.

It might be something stupid like a hung up communicator or something. Might be worth a couple taps with a mallet or open it up if it's open-up-able.
