If i add the PT 130 tilt trim kit will everthing hook up the same as far as sterring cable goes? it says it shifts the motor away from the boat. i am replacing the steering cable so should i get a little longer one? the one i measured that was on the boat measures 15 ft 4 inches and its stuck in the middle so im guessing entended all the way out i would need a 16 ft cable? its a 16ft glastron v 163 with a 1989 125hp force.

Yep it will just move the cable back 5 inches. I have the PT30 for the under 35 hp motors and it works very good so far but I have only used it 3 times. It does make a difference in the boat performance.

I would bite the bullet and get a new unit.
ebay is ok for individual components, but many of the complete tnt units that age have problems, often expensive problems.
Parts for those old units are also hard to get.
I don't know if that particular unit will work on your motor.
The seller isn't even sure what it came off of.

If your steering cable is on the short side now, get one a foot longer, because the cmc unit will set back an addition 5 to 6 inches.
