I have a 21.5 Larson cuddy cabin that I'm restoring. Engine is in but need to know is there a coast guard regulation on the clearance from the top of the flame arrestor to the engine cover? Hard to find any info online even on the coast guard site. Right now I have built the cover but it touches the top of the flame arrestor. I know I have to raise it so it clears but don't know by how much.

I have a 5.7 mercruiser engine installed.
