Coating boating parts

Was wondering how this stuff would be on a boat cover, wood transom, bench seats, trailer parts etc. or other parts on a boat. Even the bottom of a tinny! Check it out---> Superhydrophobic and oleophobic coating. [VIDEO]

Very cool but I wonder how long an application lasts. If it was a once a year thing I'd go for it.

Ayuh,... I saw it on another site a few days ago,... Pretty neat, if it'll last at all,...
Sounds like abrasion is it's downfall,...

Oughta work Great on canvas,... maybe on yer work boots,.. Pretty Expensive though...

No one has asked the big question yet!!! ???

One Gallon covers 150-180 square feet.
Two part chemistry. Bottom coating and and a separate Top Coating applied 30 minutes latter.

Bottom Coat ~ $190 per gallon.
. . Top Coat ~ $350 per gallon.

One gallon applied thinly to 180 Square feet ~ $540 = $3 per square foot. Ouch!

Buying a new cover may be the less expensive option.
