Does anyone have suggestions on what to coat stainless bolts into an aluminum housing with?
I`m getting ready to do an impeller job on my DF 150 and I want to make sure that I put it back together properly.
Nickel based anti sieze? Something else?

Thanks in advance.

Personally, I have used good ole Permatex aviation form a gaset, or other similar product for years and never found a faster that I installed I couldn't remove years later. Forget Never-seize, in salt water we call it ever-seize.

We use Quicksilver (Mercury) special lube 101. We like the 101 better than the Permatex as it is easier assembly & dissasembly - it's not as "gooey".

Teff-Gel for me....always! I have never used anything else, so this is all I can recommend.

I use Quicksilver 2-4-C Waterproof Marine Grease for bolts and fasteners....seems to stay on very well...

I can't swear by it, dpoff. I have used it for many years in the boatbuilding and maintenance industry. Personally, I use nothing else! Period.

I have nothing to compare it with. I can say this..One great product many overlook.

Re: Coating stainless bolts into aluminum housing

I checked out their website and it does every thing I want it to.
Prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals and also acts like an anti-sieze.
Ordered the 2 oz. container today.
Thanks again all.
