Everything I read says Colbalt Boats are great like boats. Anybody use them in Salt water. My thoughts are they cant take the rough conditions ?

You will find more Cobalt's on lakes. You tend to find way more Formula's on the ocean than Cobalt's.

Are you looking for something in the salt or just rough water lake conditions?

Salt water James river and Chesa Bay area in Va. Intercostal areas. I now have a 19 ft Stingray just looking for a better ride in chop conditions. Looking at a Colbalt 220 s Thanks

The Cobalt will definitely ride better than the Stingray! The main factors in riding in chop are length of boat, weight of boat, hull type and how many ponies you have pushing it.

stingrays are low deadrise, light weight hulls which is why they fly on flat calm water.

the Cobalt would be a large improvement over that.

Formula and Wellcraft are larger, heavier hulls with more deadrise, they work well in teeth-pounding chop.
