COBALT DEPTH GAUGE

I just purchased a 2002 Cobalt 240. It has a depth gauge mounted in the dash that has a toggle switch mounted next to it. When toggle to depth it just displays UC and will not read depth. Does anyone know what kind of gauge this is? Or have any ideas what to look at to repair it. I would like to keep the factory gauge but may need to just replace the whole thing.

Thanks for your input.

I doubt Cobalt built the guage, can you access the back of it from up under the helm to look for whoever did make it.

From a owners manual for a 2002, 240,

12. Air/Water Temperature Gauge ? Moving the toggle switch below the gauge allows you to go between air and water temperature readings. The gauge will display AIR and WATER to indicate which temperature source is in use. 13. Depth Sounder ? Your Cobalt is equipped with a depth sounder. To see your options shallow, deep, keel depth and units - toggle switch to down position. To set each option to desired reading toggle switch to up position. Consult your Cobalt Dealer for further information
