Cobra lower cable difference?

Could someone explain the difference between the 987661 and 987662 cable kits.The 661 kits are way back ordered and I suspect it is in the replacememt throw arm.I need to justify the difference to my pin head boss that wants this boat out of the yard.

The cables are the same in each kit. One of the kits has the hardware changes for the engine mounted shift linkage on the early models. Since that was about 20 years ago, most all Cobra drives should have the new hardware.
