If I were to change my outdrive 5.0 88' to an outdrive from a 5.7 90' what would be the end result? My owners/operators manual calls for an overall ratio on 5.0 at 1.5:1 and on the 5.7 1.41:1. I'm assuming the upper gears is were the difference is. I am not sure what to expect. Thanks in advance.
