Hi to all... Getting the boat back in shape for the upcomming season. After an inspection of the stern drive i came upon the ever dreaded ram lines on the cobra SX. There are 4 lines. Each ram has 2 going up to what looks like a common block. All 4 of mime are cracking and 2 are leacking fluid. Here is the question. Does anyone have any idea or info on the actual part #'s on these lines, there seem to be two diff styles or sets. My local Volvo Penta dealer had me take the lines off to get the # from them. But there were none on them.....

Not much of s Volvo dealer if they tell you to look at the lines to find the numbers. Sounds more like a local shop that say they know how to work on Volvos.
Do you have a model number for the drive handy? With the model number you can look them up right here at iboats http://www.volvopentastore.com/

If you are working on your 98 Regal, this should get you the numbers http://www.volvopentastore.com/Trim...on_id.358971921--store_id.366--view_id.783187

Once you have the right part number, you can go to the Volvo parts link just above your original post, type in the part number and choose Oem or Aftermarket parts. Your choice.

Little bit of advice here...... First, when removing the nuts from the cylinder use ONLY A TOP QUALITY line wrench. Second.... when you have the quality wrench to remove the line nuts, and crack them free, go in a loosen - tighten motion to make sure the nuts to not bind and strip cylinder threads.

Personally, if there is a problem cracking them what so ever I would heat the heck out of the cylinder at the nut port avoiding heat on the nut itself as we do not want to expand the nut.

Heat and outdrive repair are best friends.

I would not even worry about ruining the seals if it avoids ruining the cylinder by stripping the thread now that rebuild kits are available on Ebay . Better to smoke a seal instead of paying $400 plus for a cylinder
