have a 1974 cuddy bayliner. no spark ran a tester getting power all the way to the points but no spark to plugs. but spark at point weak but a spark. worked back to coil found that when tester was placed on neg side of coil and grounded out to block it tested hot, should it do this ? thats a new coil . could i have gotten a bad new coil? coil test hot on the pos side of coil also. any ideas?
