Coil wires and breaker points

From the coil which wire goes to the breaker point? Does it matter which coil goes to which breaker point? I am working on a johnson 4r71d and have no spark. The motor was submerged and washed and dried with air hose. Would this cause any; of the components to fail? I took off coils and points and condensor, visually inspected them( they all looked ok), I am wondering if I wired incorrectly? Please help only three days of vacation left!

edit:the longer wire and the condenser wire goes to the points the short wire that you see comong out of the top portion of the coil goes under one of the coil mounting screws. each coil and condenser set must be wired to the respective set of points.

The front set of points and coil ( the ones towards the carb ) go to the top cylinder.
