Re: coils and cd boxes interchangable?
i have a 1988 force 125 hp and, i can get 2 cd boxes and 4 coils for a 1990 force 120 hp... will these interchange?
I'm assuming you have (Prestolite Ignition) blue modules and coils on your 1988?
I purchased a set of prestolite CD modules and coils, (the blue ones) off a 1990 150 h.p. Force for my 1989 125 h.p. Force, the only physical difference I can see is the color coding of the wires, haven't had chance to try them yet, but feel they will interchange, same as what your looking at.
Looking at my manual the only difference I see on the 120 h.p. (Prestolite Ignition) and the 88 125 h.p. Force is the color coding on the wiring also.
Maybe someone will jump in and let us know for sure!
