Just tested ignition system and ended up replacing the power pack. Turns out that may not have been the final issue. 3 of my 4 coils aren't passing the 7/16 spark gap jump. All my power pack voltages are good. When I touch the plugs rubber boots I get a good poke, also if I touch the coil itself I'll get a poke. They look really clean and new-- no cracks or leaks. We switched out the good coil to the other Power pack outputs and it works on all cylinders. Are my Coils bad? What causes this and why do they still look so good?

Thanks

I would suspect that the coils are bad if you can swap one around and it works on that cylinder. If coils and wires are in good shape you should not get a shock off of them. I would purchase the new coils and wires and boots.

Husband to wife A-----its ok honey, ive just been pulling at my plug again.

You might just need to get a new set of plug leads and give the coils a good coat of silicone spray.
