Cold water coming from pee tube

Hi just put a new water impeller in a 150 evenrude 1985 pees good but water is cold , put a new temp. gauge in and it stays at 120 but the heads are pretty warm but can hold my hand on them should I take the heads off to check anything? Hope not will have to order new gaskets.Thanks

The water for the pee tube does NOT circulate through the engine.-----Just tells you the water pump is working.

Agreed, +1. The pee comes off before the water goes through the powerhead.
